The seat-sharing deal has been finalized in “Mahagathbandhan” for Bihar assembly elections. According to sources from Zee News India, Friday, Congress will be contesting for nearly 70 seats while the left party will contest for 30.
Patna: The “Mahagathbandhan” has been finalized on Friday ahead of Bihar assembly elections 2020. Congress to vouch for 70 seats while the left party will field candidates for around 30 seats.
According to news agency ANI, Lalu Yadav’s party RJD will offer 70 seats to congress but will not let them have the seats of their choices. Senior NDA leaders also held a meeting regarding the finalization of seat-sharing on Thursday, for the poll of legislative assembly elections, 2020. The seat-sharing details were likely to come out before October 4th, in Delhi.
The first phase of nominations has already begun in Bihar, for 71 seats. Election Commission of India is also busy preparing the state-elections poll monitoring and all related matters with officials.
According to chief election commissioner, CEC,of India, Sunil Arora, Bihar assembly elections will begin in three phases and under strict protocols amid Covid-19 pandemic. The elections will start from October 28th and the final results for all seats will be declared on November 10th, 2020.
“In the first phase, elections will be held in 71 Assembly constituencies. In the second phase, 94 Assembly constituencies will go to polls. In the third phase, polling will be held in 78 Assembly constituencies,” the CEC said in a press conference adding that ”the counting of votes for all seats will take place on November 10.” Sunil Arora said.
